Subject: 2006 TARC Finalists Announced!

The 2006 Team America Rocketry Challenge Top 100 Finalists & Alternates are now posted at www.rocketcontest.org

The score required for selection as one of the Top 100 teams was 21.15 or lower; the score cutoff to for the 20 alternates was 26.50. Teams are listed on the website by state and are in no particular order. We are not listing the teams in order of score, and the rankings of teams based on qualification flight results will not be released. These scores are not relevant to the real scores that count from this point forward -- the ones earned at the finals. There were nearly 400 qualifying attempt this year, which is a far larger percentage than in previous years. We want to stress that attempting a qualification launch (whether successful or unsuccessful) is a GREAT ACHIEVEMENT! All teams that submitted a score will be receiving a certificate for their success -- details will be provided soon. You should all be very proud of your accomplishments even if you did not make the finals this year. We hope to see many of you at the TARC 2006 finals on May 19-20, as either as fliers or spectators.

Be sure to register at the event website www.rocketcontest.org to receive information about TARC 2007 as soon as it is rolled out this coming September. ~The TARC Staff
